This summer I got to take the kids to visit my sister in Nebraska. My mom flew in from CA and then we connected flights and flew on to NE. I was so grateful for her help. This was the first time I had traveled with 4 kids alone, but the kids were really good. It was so fun to get all the cousins together (these are our kids only cousins right now), and see where my sister has been living.
Clara is ready to go!
All the kiddos
Clara loved all the new toys to play with!
Ella was the super babysitter! I can't wait until she's 12. She loved carrying her nephew around and taking care of him.
Ella wrapped him up in her blankets
My sister cooked every meal for us and the food was always amazing!
And since the weather was perfect we were able to have picnic lunches.
This was my replacement husband while I was away from Tyler :-)
My sister made this amazing puppet show curtain and so the kids put on their own puppet shows. It was so cute!
My sister is one of those people that can make ANYTHING!!! She is so talented and I have to admit I am jealous of her mad skills! :-) She made these awesome dragon puppets for the kids to use.
She also made a plinko board that we played one night. It was so fun!
Clara is wearing her prize from the game. :-)
Since this was like a mini-reunion (minus the men) we thought it'd be fun to make some t-shirts. So the we all tie dyed our own shirts.
Grandma & Grandkids
Sitting down to dinner - can you see the yummy pizza break sticks my sister made?
We had a water day one day one day and my sister had water balloons, slip and slide, baby pool. And the weather was perfect!
Ella has fallen in love with sewing, but I can only sew bedding and home decor things. My sister on the other hand can sew ANYTHING. So she helped Ella sew a bunny and sleeping bag for the bunny.
It turned out so cute!!!
We visited their public library that is part of my niece's elementary school. And all summer you could pick out a free book every time you visited. So between me and the kids we got 5 free books!
Ella helped her cousin get comfy in a bean bag.
My sister is also an amazing cook. And Addi LOVES to cook. So they made cake chex mix together. It was super yummy!
We had a fun makeover time. I got to put makeup on the girls and even my sister! (who has never worn a drop of makeup in her life! - nope, not even on her wedding day)
One day we visited the Nebraska Zoo. I couldn't believe how big it was and how many cool exhibits they had! And our tie-dye shirts were perfect because it was easy to spot everyone in our group.
These pictures were in the rainforest exhibit - complete with sloths and hippos.
The iron octopus got Cooper!
The kids were all looking thru a glass bubble to see the penguins swimming.
The desert dome
This is Cooper's favorite fish...the lion fish.
