Phoenix Temple Open House

It has been so neat and special to have the opportunity to attend so many temple open houses and dedications this year!  The Gilbert temple was dedicated in April and then the Phoenix temple in November.  Tyler had been to 2 other open houses in his life and I had been to 1, so we were trying to explain to our kids that this is not a normal occurrence although we would love it to be!
So one Saturday we made the hour drive up to the Phoenix temple (really in north Phoenix).  It is a lot smaller than the Gilbert Temple but just as beautiful and amazing.

We've got our booties on and are ready to go in. :-)

Piano Recital

Cooper and Ella had a piano recital and this time it was in the mall!  They both did such a great job and we're so proud of them practicing everyday and working hard to improve.  Cooper has been playing for 3.5 years and Ella has been playing for 1.5 years.  We love having music fill our home.

Ella played a duet with her teacher.

Thank you Mrs. Lunt for all your teaching our children!
Addison is excited to start lessons this next summer!

Mae was great during the recital.  Love how blue her eyes look in this picture.

Cub Scouts & Nap Time

Cooper's Webelos den was in charge of the skit at their pack meeting and they each made puppets to pass off an achievement for the showmanship badge. (I'm pretty proud that I've learned some scouting lingo.) :-)
He decided to make Mr. Business from Lego Movie.  He did it all by himself.

Clara doesn't take naps anymore but every once in awhile she just get overly tired and give up.
This day she had been following me around asking for some milk in a cup and then next thing I know she was asleep on the floor. :-)

Baby Blessing

We've had 5 babies born this year.  Me, my sister, and 3 of my sister-in-laws have all had babies in 2014.  And wouldn't you know it...Mae is the only girl!  But I know she'll have lots of fun with her 4 boy cousins. :-)
So we've had some busy fast Sundays this fall.  Since August we have had a baby blessing to attend every month.  It's so fun to see our families grow!  And I'm so grateful that we have all been sealed together for eternity!

Me and my sister-in-laws and their cute boys!

Rocky Point ~ Fall Break 2014

We've started a new tradition of going to Rocky Point Mexico during fall break.  This was our 2nd year to go and we loved it just as much as the 1st year  - if not more!
If you can't make it to Hawaii then I would say this is second best.
Warm water, beautiful sand, family, friends, and fun sea animals.
The girls love getting their hair braided and I love it because we don't have to mess with doing their hair everyday.

We learned to bring our own beach toys and shovels this year too.  Let the sand castle making begin!

This is the resort we stay in with all of our friends.
You can see in the picture that it is low tide and so the water line is about half a mile away from the resort.  It's so fun for the kids to go exploring in the calm and shallow water.

G&G Wagner have joined us the last 2 years too!  So fun to have them come along!

Mae was the perfect beach baby.  She loved the water and sand!

Cooper caught many different animals but here is a picture of a small octopus he found.

Some friends of ours brought their blowup paddle boards and let us use them.  Ella loved going out with me and Tyler.

Tyler dug a hole for him and Cooper

We loved all the vendors that would walk up and down the beach selling stuff.
Our favorites were the bracelets and MANGOES!!!

Grandma W bought Clara a cute purse

We caravaned down with about 12 other families.  It was so fun because the kids always had someone to play with and there was always great company.

One evening the low tide left beautiful ripples in the sand and the sunset was gorgeous.

Grandma W and Mae

One day we all chipped in so our kids could ride the "Red Shark"
They had so much fun and then Tyler and I went with some other adults and it was crazy fun!  I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard!

One evening we had a sand castle building competition.
Our team made a pyramid and the Sphinx

On the last day we decided to go into town
