Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park

For Cooper's birthday Grandpa Wagner took him and Tyler on a special day trip to the big island.
They went and visited Volcanoes Natl. Park.  It was amazing to see all the dried up lava that's poured over the island and roads.  And then even some active parts of the volcano.
Cooper and Tyler walked to the "end of the road" where the lava covered the road and everything around it.

This is called the natural arch.  The arch is lava that was pouring into the ocean and then hardened into an arch.  Pretty amazing!

You can see the sulfuric gas coming out of the rocks

Cooper thought this plant looked cool
