Good Ol' Fashion Campin'

Before school started we wanted to take the kiddos camping.  Our family loves the outdoors and loves to camp.  And it was a really special treat because Tyler took Friday off of work and so we drove up Thursday afternoon and camped 2 nights and came home Saturday afternoon.  It's amazing how you can drive 2.5 hours and you don't even feel like you're in the Arizona that most people think of.  We got it all here - mountains, snow, cactus, heat...you name it! :-)
We were super lucky to find a campsite in Sedona that's not far from good trails and Slide Rock National Park.

We had to eat breakfast and play games in the tent one morning while it rained.

Friday we took the kids to Slide Rock National Park.  The water was FREEZING but we still had lots of fun!

On our way down the mountain we stopped at a Trout farm and let the kids go fishing.  It took about 1 min. for each of our kids to catch a fish.  They had the magic touch!

Ella was the only one that would actually hold her fish.  Brave girl!
