Cub Scout Day Camp

Since I am the 1st Counselor in the Primary Presidency in our ward I get to be over Cub Scouts which is really fun since Cooper is in Cub Scouts.  Growing up with all sisters I knew absolutely NOTHING about the scouting program, but I have learned very quickly and would say that I've got things pretty figured out, especially after having to plan a multi-ward (6 wards) Cub Scout Day camp.  It was A LOT of work, but everything turned out perfectly and the boys had a blast!

Do I look tired?  Because I really am! :-)

Lowes donated a ton of wood and nails and so the boys got to make their own toolboxes.

This is Brenda (aka my right arm).  She is our AMAZING Primary president and I don't know what I would have done without all of her help!  Just a month ago they reorganized our ward's boundaries and so we got cut out of our ward and got put with a part of another ward and created a brand new ward (does that make any sense), but it's just been complete CHAOS since then trying to organize a brand new primary with 146 kids (not counting nursery).  And then to have Cub Scout Day camp and Tyler and I are in charge of 4th year girls camp.  Yeah, I'm pretty tired. :-)  But Brenda has been there for me and helped me any time that she can.  I'm so grateful for her friendship.

S.W.A.T. truck came.  Boys thought it was so cool!

It was really hot...

So the fire truck came and cooled all the boys off...

We had over 100 boys at the day camp.  It was so fun!
