On Friday we went and visited Downey where my Mom grew up. This was her chapel growing up and where she went to seminary. It was so neat to revisit those memorable places. You could see the memories flooding my Mom as she told us old stories, and where she would walk, etc. It is so fun to picture Mom in High School and as a young adult. Thanks Mom for sharing those memories with us!
After driving around Downey, we took the same roads my mom would go on to get to the beach. I'm so jealous that my mom grew up so close to the beach! Isn't that every teenage girl's dream! We decided to go to Huntington Beach, and one thing I've decided is... I LOVE THE BEACH!!! And I was so happy to see that the kids loved it too! We just had a fabulous time! I could spend weeks and weeks at the beach! Some things I love about the beach:
1) The warmth of the sun
2) The sound of the ocean and the waves crashing on the sand
3) The beautiful blue water and blue sky
4) The warm sand between my toes
5) Taking walks along the shoreline
6) Building sand castles and other creatures
7) Burying eachother
8) Searching for sea shells
9) Body surfing
10) Surfing
The list could go on and on... I'm definitely a beach kind of girl! Please take me back!
California = Churros! Yum!
Tyler got Addison to dig in the sand. She didn't like the sand on her so she stayed situated right on the center of the towels.
Our little Ariel
Ella the beach babe! She LOVED the beach! (she takes after her mom)

LOVE that last picture!!
Too much fun! I love those pictures. I love the beach as well, especially beaches that look like that. Washington beaches don't look or feel like that. :)
That is a great buried in the sand picture! How did they fit side by side together like that?
