I had the opportunity at the beginning of June to go to Girl's Camp with our ward (Cornerstone Ward). And can I just tell you...I had a BLAST!!! The theme was amazing: "Believe in Me"! The girls were amazing! And the spirit at camp was amazing! I am so grateful that I was able to attend camp this year, and I hope it's the first of many. We have the most talented and smart Young Women in our area. I am lucky to brush shoulders with them weekly.
Cornerstone Ward Girl's Camp 2009
Me & Marni
Do you recognize me with no make-up? :-) I loved being able to itch my eyes whenever I wanted and not worry about smearing my mascara. :-)
The 2 Kristen's...
Kristen Jaworski & Kristen Jones
Me, Courtney Cox, and Maddison Brown on our hike. It was so beautiful!
Can you believe this is Arizona!?! We've had so much rain that everything is super green! It was so amazing to hike thru all of this! Heavenly Father did not skip any details when he created this part of the earth.
These were my "wilderness girls". I promised Cooper that I would bring him home some bugs from camp. Lauren & Annie caught every type of animal and bug that existed at camp. These girls were not afraid to touch anything! Someday they'll have their own show called, "Girls vs. Wild".
Me, Chelsey, Sarah, Kristen, and Amy are in our protective water-fight gear.
One of my favorite parts of camp...the 4th year water fight! I remember doing this when I was a Young Woman in CA and went to camp. This was one of the best parts of camp! :-)
The Stake leaders told us not to bring any water weapons. So our plan was to ambush the 4th years, steal their water guns, and then attack. :-) We attacked the 4th years, but they didn't like our idea of taking their water guns, so we had to go to Plan B...take the Priesthood leader's guns. :-) Can you see us catching a ride on the canoe trailer?
It wasn't easy (as you can see from my ripped protective water-fight gear), but I managed to steal Bro. Bailey's water gun! Now attack!
Or get attacked?
Post battle picture...and I promised I wasn't going to shower the entire time at camp. (You're only allowed one shower anyway, so I thought what's the point?)
I kept my promise! Marni was nice enough to pour buckets of water on me to get the mud off. But no shower!
