Happy Mother's Day!!!
So in the spirit of Mother's Day I wanted to share with my kids 10 reasons why I love being their Mom. (This is very spontaneous of me, but I don't think it will be hard.)
1) I will never get fat because they always have me on my feet chasing them around.
2) I get to enjoy every type of emotion weekly: happy, sad, mad (hardly ever), stressed, excited, surprised, and loved!
3) They love and accept me no matter what! I can be looking my worst and Ella will say, "Mommy, you look pretty!" or I'll lose my patience and Cooper will say "Mom, you're the best!"
4) I continue to become a better cook, nurse, and teacher.
5) My patience has grown leaps and bounds... which I always wanted to have more patience when I was younger.
6) I appreciate the little moments, and the little things that my family does that makes me so happy.
7) I feel like I have a purpose, and I'm important...Cooper tells me I'm a Wii expert, and Ella tells me I'm a princess. :-)
8) I love teaching them because most of the time I'm learning more then I'm teaching.
9) I'm never alone! (even when I'm going potty) :-)
10) I'm reminded daily how much my my Heavenly Father loves me because he blessed me with an amazing husband, and three beautiful children.
Sorry everyone, but I definitely have the best husband ever!!! He got together with our friend Brian Melcher, and they planned the most spectacular meal ever for Linnlee and me! It was so fun watching Tyler cook - I don't think there's anything that he can't do, or atleast won't try to do!
Tyler making the salad. He asked my sister Julia for a "special" recipe, and it was an amazing salad. It reminded me of the Pablo Picasso salad from Oregano's. Yummy to my tummy!
Brian is preparing the lobsters to cook on the BBQ. That's right!!! We had lobster! And it was GOOD! GOOD! GOOD!
Ella petting the almost dead lobster
"He can't pinch me!"
Addi's "cheese" smile
Me and Linnlee
It was also Linnlee's Birthday on Mother's Day! Thank you Linnlee for letting us celebrate your Birthday, and Mother's Day with you!!!
After we got home we Skype'd my parents (one of our Sunday traditions) It is so fun to talk and see them at the same time! We love you Mom and Dad!
I thought this was so cute! Cooper is our kid that always knows when he's tired. We'll be doing something and he'll say, "Mom, I'm tired. Can I go to bed?"
So while we were still talking to my parents, Cooper crawled onto our bed, under our blanket, and fell asleep. Feet hanging out and all!
It was a great day!!!
